The Chitarra, pronounced key-tahr-rah, is a traditional natural wood pasta maker that originated in the 1800s in Chieti, Italy, located in the Abruzzo region. Resembling a double-sided harp, it features closely spaced strings on one side and wider spaced strings on the other. To use, simply roll and press flattened dough through the wires with a rolling pin. A slanted board in the center allows the freshly cut pasta to slide off smoothly. This tool offers two cutting options: one side for angel hair pasta, approximately 3mm wide, and the other for fettuccini, about 5mm wide.

Care instructions recommend hand washing only.
