Euphrates Mint, 7 oz - Burlap & Barrel
Euphrates Mint grows along the banks of the Euphrates River in southern Turkey, one of the oldest agricultural areas in the world. Burlap & Barrel first came across this mint while visiting Silk Chili and Black Urfa Chili farms in the area, and they were blown away by its sweetness, brightness and intensity.
Crumble dried mint leaves into salads, grain dishes and tomato sauces or simply infuse in hot water for a fragrant mint tea.
Cooking Tips: Makes a beautiful mint tea. Add to pesto, chutneys, or curries. Great in meat rubs for chicken and lamb.
Henry's Country Store tip: Whatta lotta mint you say? We need a lot to make a lot! Our favorite preparation for lamb is to create a rub with Euphrates Mint, Toasted Onion, Purple Stripe Garlic, a bit of Silk Chili (all from Burlap & Barrel) along with sea salt and cracked pepper. Use as a rub on lamb chops, leg of lamb or a lamb roast for a few hours or overnight. Use more Euphrates Mint and finishing salt on the meat when serving. Euphrates Mint on a roast slab of lamb is to die for!
