Dandelion Leaf Whole (Taraxacum mongolicum) is the dried aerial leaf of a classic medicinal plant widely used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) under the name Pú Gōng Yīng (蒲公英).

Use: Boil the leaves for 30 minutes, then strain and drink as a hot or cold tea. (While dandelion tea is generally considered safe, it may cause allergic reactions, heartburn, skin irritation or interact with certain medications. Before drinking dandelion tea, check with a doctor if your are taking medications or encounter any of these symptoms.)

This herb is highly valued for its ability to clear heat, resolve toxicity, reduce swelling, and support liver and digestive health, making it especially useful for conditions involving heat accumulation, inflammation, and toxin-related discomfort.

Its nature is bitter, sweet, and cold, giving it a strong cooling and cleansing action. In TCM, Pu Gong Ying enters the Liver and Stomach channels, where it helps clear heat and fire toxin, support bile flow, and promote digestive balance.

It is traditionally used for sore throat, breast abscesses, mastitis, intestinal heat, abdominal discomfort, and urinary irritation, particularly when symptoms present with redness, swelling, pain, or heat. Its ability to reduce inflammation makes it a staple herb for heat-driven infections and stagnation.
